It is the mission of Oconee County Emergency Management Agency, during a disaster, to alert or notify, shelter, evacuate, and provide transportation, if necessary, for owners with domesticated animals.

Oconee County has agreements in place to provide temporary shelter for domesticated animals as relocation and sheltering facilities do not accept animals.
