Economic Development is
important to every community and Oconee County, with its current
unemployment rate, is no exception. Successful economic development
is a multi-faceted program.
We are looking to enhance our
economic development toolkit by expanding SCORE (Service
Corps of Retried Executives) into our community. Basically,
SCORE is about matching the experience of retired or working
executives with counseling opportunities for Oconee’s new or
existing smaller businesses. As a SCORE volunteer, you…
-
provide
leadership in the business community.
-
gain recognition
and respect as a business mentor.
-
enjoy the
satisfaction of contributing to the success of others.
-
support local
economic growth through entrepreneurship.
-
participate in
lifelong learning opportunities.
-
use skills and
knowledge to help others.
SCORE offers Online workshops, Online
Counseling, Blogs for Women Entrepreneurs, Ask An Expert
Blogs, Community Forums and a host of business tools.
