Mr. Bennington has become a very valuable member of the community in the one-and-a-half years that he has been in Oconee County. He has been the driving force in organizing the Oconee County Industrial Group, which brings together plant managers to discuss common concerns and share best practices during lunch each month. As part of this Industrial Group’s goals, the first-ever Oconee County Industrial Product Showcase was held in April of this year. Twenty-four industrial family members showcased their products and services to the community. A 20-minute video highlighting the impact of the Oconee County industrial family was produced under the direction of Mr. Bennington. The Oconee County Industrial Group video, “Partners in Progress,” has been featured at many meetings of area civic and municipal organizations. Mr. Bennington has also spearheaded an effort at the Borg Warner Seneca plant to bring new business to the facility. As a result, more than $13 million has been earmarked for investment and over 100 new jobs will be created within four years. He encourages his Borg Warner associates to be active in the community’s schools, churches and civic organizations. As a result, the citizens of Oconee County benefit and are proud that Borg Warner is a member of the Oconee County Industrial Family.
