MINUTES, SPECIAL MEETING, OCONEE COUNTY COUNCIL

 

                        The Oconee County Council held a special meeting Wednesday, February 09, 2005 at 1:00 PM in Council Chambers with all Council Members, Mr. Rabun, County Administrator, Mr. Norton, County Attorney & the Clerk to Council present.

 

Press:

 

                        Members of the press notified (via facsimile):  Daily Journal, Keowee Courier, Westminster News, Anderson Independent, Greenville News, WGOG Radio, WLOS TV & WSPA TV.

 

                        Members of the press present: Ray Chandler - Daily Journal & Dave Williams – Anderson Independent.

 

Call to Order:

 

                        Mr. Ables called the meeting to order.

 

Invocation:

 

                        Mr. Rinehart gave the invocation.

 

Executive Session:

 

                        Mr. Lyles made a motion, seconded by Mr. Crumpton, approved 5 – 0 that Council go into executive session for the purpose of discussing:

 

(1)               The Susie Cornelius lawsuit

(2)               The SWAG Agreement

(3)               A real estate matter

 

Open Session:

 

                        When open session resumed, there was no action regarding the executive session.

 

Real Estate, Facilities & Land Management Meet:

 

                        Mr. Lyles announced a meeting of the Real Estate, Facilities & Land Management Meeting Monday, February 14, 2005 at 10:00 AM in Council Chambers.
