ORGANIZATION INFORMATION

VIETNAM 50th ANNIVERSARY

The Oconee County Veterans Council and the VA Office have teamed up with the Department of Defense in recognizing the "commemoration" of the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War.

Last year (2015) and this year (2016), in conjunction with the Department of Defense, we've hosted two events honoring Vietnam Veterans.

A great big THANK YOU to the staff and members of Rocky Knoll Baptist Church for helping us honor these great veterans September 24th. About 200 plus folks joined together to say "THANK YOU and WELCOME HOME" to all Vietnam Veterans.

We will announce another event for the spring of 2017 soon.  We are soooooooooooooo excited to announce that our last event honoring this special group of men and women will be the "Vietnam Moving Wall".  The Wall will be in Oconee County for Veterans Day 2017!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!     More details will follow.
